A Royal Oak company earns a National Recognition Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies for work completed on the Michigan Technological University H-STEM Health Technologies Complex.
HED of Royal Oak recently announced the firm was awarded a national Recognition Award by ACEC at the 58th annual Engineering Excellence Awards for its work with the university to design its first inter-college research institute. The H-STEM Complex was opened at the close of the 2024 spring semester, in time for classes to start inside the facility this past fall. The complex brings together the university’s research in health sciences biomechanical engineering, celluar research, and other fields to advance discovery and innovation.
HED was integral in the comprehensive designs performing architecture, lab planning, and electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering services for the project. HED will receive its award during an official ceremony in Washington D.C. in May during the 58th annual Engineering Excellence Awards.
