The Houghton High School girls soccer team is scheduled to play at Marquette this evening.

The Red Wings lost a 2-1 overtime heartbreaker to the Blues last night. J.T. Compher’s goal early in the third period broke a scoreless tie. Saint Louis tied the game with 29 seconds left in regulation, and Cam Fowler’s backhander slipped past Cam Talbot for the game-winner three-and-a-half minutes into the extra period. Talbot made 35 saves.
The Wings have dropped five of their last seven, and entertain the Hurricanes Friday. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift. With eight games remaining in the regular season, Detroit is four points behind the Canadiens in the crowded race for the final Eastern Conference Wild Card playoff berth.
NBA
The Pistons will visit the Thunder tonight. Coverage will begin at 7:35 on 99.3 The Lift. Detroit will be short-handed. Isaiah Stewart, Ron Holland II and Marcus Sasser are suspended following the recent brawl with the Timberwolves. Cade Cunningham is still doubtful, with a calf injury.
The Bucks broke their four-game losing streak with a 133-123 victory over the Suns last evening. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 37 points and 11 assists.
The Bucks visit the 76ers tomorrow.
MLB
The Tigers shut down the Mariners 4-1 last night. Casey Mize pitched shutout ball into the sixth, and gave up Seattle’s only hit. The Mariners’ run came on a sacrifice fly off Beau Brieske in the seventh. Riley Greene had a home run and a double, and Spencer Torkelson had an RBI double.
The Tigers conclude that set in Seattle this afternoon. Tarik Skubal will start against Luis Castillo. Coverage will begin at 3:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Brewers finally found some pitching, and blanked the Royals 5-0 last night. Starter Chad Patrick wasn’t feeling well, but pitched into the fifth, and gave up three of K.C.’s four hits. Eric Haase and Christian Yelich homered.
The Brewers wrap up that series against the Royals this afternoon. Freddy Peralta will pitch against Cole Ragans.
