Two Upper Peninsula banking professionals will earn recognition from the Community Bankers of Michigan at an annual conference in September.
Recently UP State Bank President and CEO David Williams was awarded the Best of Community Banking Award by the Community Bankers of Michigan. Williams will travel to receive his award next month at the CBM Annual Convention and Expo in Traverse City. He’ll receive his award alongside Doug Ouellette, the Chief Community banking Officer of Mercantile Bank.
President of CBM James North says Williams and Ouellette personify what it means to be a community banker, through established careers in an area, dedication to community engagement, and continued advocacy for local banking institutions.
