MLB
The Tigers collected just four hits, but managed to shut out the Marlins 2-0 yesterday. Both Detroit runs came in the second inning. Spencer Torkelson scored when Miami committed two errors on an infield grounder by Colt Keith. Keith advanced to third base, and scored on a single by Dillon Dingler. Keider Montero earned the win with five shutout innings.
The Tigers have today off, and host the Guardians tomorrow. Casey Mize will start against Joey Cantillo. Coverage will begin at 6:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Brewers dropped a 3-2 decision to the Cardinals yesterday. Jose Quintana gave up all three Saint Louis runs in the second inning, and took the loss. Caleb Durbin and Danny Jansen homered for Milwaukee.
The Brewers also have today off, and welcome the Angels tomorrow. Freddy Peralta will pitch against Caden Dana.
NFL
The Lions blasted the Bears 52-21 yesterday. Jared Goff was nearly perfect, completing 23 of 28 passes for 338 yards and five touchdowns – three to Amon-Ra St. Brown. Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 94 yards and one score.
Last night, the Vikings fell 22-6 to the Falcons.
There are two games tonight. The Buccaneers visit the Texans, with coverage beginning at 6:00 on 99.3 The Lift. The Raiders host the Chargers in a late game.
