The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community will invite tribal members to a presentation Dec. 11 with KBIC leaders, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the MSU Extension office, and the Michigan State University School of Planning Design and Construction.
KBIC hopes to work with partners on a Climate and Health Adaptation Planning and Technical Assistance project to address health challenges in the community.
In August, the group held a Community Visioning Meeting to discuss a potential Mikinaak Snack Shack Visioning project. The December meeting will collect feedback and share initial designs.
A final meeting is expected in spring before a final report is published.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Ojibwa Casino.
