The Michigan Department of Natural Resources opened a public comment period for a nonmetallic mineral lease in Marquette County. Eagle Mine LLC has requested a nonmetallic mineral lease from the state of Michigan for a 240-acre area inside Michigamme Township. The state’s department will continue to accept public comment responses until Feb. 22.
