Superior National Bank announced Thursday it has promoted Eli Karttunen to senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Karttunen succeeds Sherry Hill in the CFO role. Hill retired at the start of April after years of service with the financial institution.
Karttunen joined Superior National Bank in 2016 as a member of the Trust and Wealth Management team before advancing to the Trust Investment Officer position. In 2022, he transitioned to serve the bank as Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.
As chief financial officer, Karttunen will lead the bank’s overall financial strategy and operations. His responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, balance sheet management, regulatory reporting and risk oversight.
In his new role, Karttunen will work closely with the executive team to drive strategic initiatives and enhance financial performance for the organization’s continued success.
The promotion reflects Superior National Bank’s commitment to developing talent from within and recognizing employee growth and dedication.
