We Energies Foundation plans to award $150,000 in first responder grants.
Recently, We Energies Foundation announced it will begin accepting grant applications from first responder agencies in the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin through the Rewarding Responders Grant program. This year the foundation plans to increase its support for the awards, up $50,000 from $100,000 awarded in 2025.
Since 2020, the foundation has awarded $500,000 to first responder agencies.
Grants awarded in 2026 will provide up to $2,000 to support upgrading equipment and personal protection gear. The grant program will continue to accept requests from agencies in the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin until June 15.
