The Tigers open a home set against the Guardians tonight. Drew Anderson will start against Tanner Bibee. Coverage will begin at 6:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Brewers dropped a 3-2 decision to the Padres last night. Logan Henderson allowed just one run over six innings, but left in the seventh after giving up a two-run homer to Jackson Merrill. After bombing in his initial start for San Diego last week, former Tiger Casey Mize rebounded with six strong innings, marred only by a two-run homer by Christian Yelich.
The Brewers visit the Padres again tonight. Kyle Harrison will pitch against Walker Buehler.
Twilight League
The Copper Country Twilight Baseball League semifinals begin tonight.
- Top-seeded Garnet Garage hosts Houghton Building Supplies/Stanton at the Houghton field.
- Craig Heinonen Coldwell Banker meets Northern Driveline at the Stanton field.
The second games of the best-of-three series will be played Thursday, with third games on Sunday, if needed.

The Copper Country Horseshoe League wrapped up its regular season last night…
- Dreamland won the regular-season title and claimed the top seed in the upcoming tournament by blanking Mohawk Superette 9-0.
- Erkkila Forest Products clinched second place by stopping Eva’s Hideaway 8-1.
- Sayen’s Auto earned the third seed by downing Bucko’s Party Store 9-0.
- Harter’s Party Store defeated Calumet Electronics 6-3.
- Luigi’s Bar dispatched Loading Zone 7-2.
- Laurium One shut down Ahmeek Fire Department 9-0.
The tournament begins next Monday.
