Aspirus Keweenaw will be hosting flu shot clinic sessions at its Houghton and Laurium locations in the upcoming weeks in order to help keep you and your family safe and healthy this flu season. Vaccinations will be available for individuals ages 6 months and older, though those under 18 years of age must have parental consent to be inoculated. All vaccinations will be entered into the Michigan Care Improvement Registry.
Health experts continue to recommend annual flu vaccination as the best defense against seasonal influenza. Getting vaccinated can help reduce the risk of illness, hospitalization, and the spread of the disease within those around you.
Appointments are recommended and may be scheduled by calling 906-337-6560, although walk-ins are welcome at both locations. The Laurium clinic will be held on Oct. 13 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the Houghton clinic will be held on Oct. 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Those who are unable to attend are encouraged to arrange an individual vaccination through your nearest Aspirus location.
