Lake Superior State University will invest $10 million to sustain the lifespan of the college campus.
On Monday, the Lake Superior State University board of trustees announced plans for multi-phase infrastructure work that will maintain a vibrant and welcoming environment for decades to come.
The work will utilize funds supported by a new donor to update facilities, enhance campus spaces and create a safer and more engaging college experience.
Several projects will include major roof repairs, road work and repaving of parking lots and sidewalks. Several buildings will also receive upgraded heating and cooling systems to support energy efficiency.
LSSU expects initial work to begin at the Norris Center, as well as engineering studies for the Taffy Abel Ice Arena.
