Caring for your community can become pretty easy when you join a group.
In 2025, the Copper Country 100 Women Who Care came together to join forces. The organization brings its membership together at four quarterly meetings to determine a nonprofit the group will commit a donation to.
Since establishing the group, 100 Women Who Care have donated over $25,000 to nonprofits such as Omega House, 31 Backpacks and UP Wildlife Rehabilitation – Keweenaw. Earlier this year, the ladies donated $7,000 to the Pewabic Street Community Garden at the first meeting of 2026.
Next Wednesday, May 20th, the local chapter will meet at 6 p.m. at the Lodge Luxury Suites in Hancock. The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. Members do plan to donate at each meeting, though the organization says there is no pressure to commit a donation at your first meeting.
