Copper Shores Community Health Foundation and Feeding America Michigan are continuing a five-year partnership to bring mobile food pantries to communities across the western Upper Peninsula this year.
Mobile sites will set up in Calumet, Chassell and Ontonagon at locations central to those in need throughout 2026.
The first stop is Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chassell on July 1 at 10 a.m. The final mobile food pantry of the year will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.
Individuals and families do not need to show proof of need to pick up a Feeding America box. Organizers ask participants to provide basic contact information, which helps determine program needs in local communities and supports regional food insecurity data.
