Since 1959, the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce has supported established and new businesses in the region. For nearly 30 years, the community has supported the chamber’s growth.
Next month, the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce hosts an event designed to connect business professionals around the region, raise funds for the chamber’s activities, programs and events throughout the year, and enjoy a summer pastime at Portage Lake Golf Course.
Each year, the annual golf outing invites businesses to sponsor a hole on the course, participate in prize giveaways and connect with the community. The event brings professionals from various industries together for a day on the golf course and networking.
Chamber Manager Katie Schlief said the outing serves a greater purpose for the business community.
“The Chamber’s 28th Annual Premier Golf Outing is more than just one of our largest events of the year; it’s an investment in our business community,” Schlief said. “This premier outing brings together business leaders, professionals, and community partners for a day of networking, relationship-building, brand visibility, and meaningful connections outside the office. The funds raised through this event directly support the Chamber’s networking events, educational programs, and business initiatives throughout the year, helping us strengthen connections, promote local businesses, and create opportunities for professionals across the region.”
Those interested in sponsoring this year’s golf outing should contact Schlief for more information. Groups interested in organizing a team can find details online.
The annual Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce golf outing takes place Sept. 9 at Portage Lake Golf Course. Find more details for registration here. Contact the Chamber of Commerce here.
