The Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home will host its annual Ride Against Abuse on Tuesday evening, bringing together motorcyclists to raise funds and awareness for domestic violence survivors.
The ride departs at 6 p.m. from the Americ-Inn in Calumet and travels through the Copper Country before concluding at Kestner Waterfront Park in Houghton. The event typically draws more than 50 riders.
“We thank the community for their continued support of the shelter and the non-profit’s programs,” BKG Shelter Executive Director Mary Niemela said.
All donations collected during the event will support the shelter’s ongoing services in the community. Riders and supporters interested in participating can meet at the Americ-Inn at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
