Aspirus Health is helping Copper Country women access breast cancer screening during Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering enhanced mammography access with extended and accommodating appointment options.
Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women, but early detection through routine screening mammograms can significantly improve outcomes. “Early detection is one of the most powerful tools we have in the fight against breast cancer,” said Natalie Seaber, Michigan Region President for Aspirus.
Aspirus offers mammography services at multiple locations, including Aspirus Ironwood, Aspirus Keweenaw, Aspirus Iron River Hospital, and Aspirus Ontonagon Clinic. Teams work closely with patients to accommodate scheduling needs, including evening and extended-hour availability at select locations.
Aspirus Health was the first health system in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to introduce breast health nurse navigators, who provide personalized support throughout patients’ breast health journeys.
Patients can schedule a screening mammogram by calling Aspirus Central Scheduling at 715-847-2550, visiting aspirus.org, or using the MyAspirus app.
